Black History Month: Basketball meets Street Style with Dane Isaac
As a young black creative, Black History Month gives me an opportunity to reflect on the sacrifices that were made by those before me, and understand the influence it has on our future. It’s important to see this representation in our communities.
The hustle and never-ending grind of New York City is the inspiration behind my photography. To practice my craft in this City is a constant stimulant and battery-in-my-back that pushes me forward.
Shooting for the Knicks yesterday was a life-changing experience. As a fan of the organization and the game of basketball, I have so many memories being on the other side of those photos. Being at Madison Square Garden yesterday was both nostalgic and refreshing. I’m thankful to be given a chance to be a part of that history.
